Today we will continue with the countdown of our top 10 Superhero Films of all time. Am sure ‘The Incredibles’ may have raised a few eyebrows whether it should have been in the top 10, but I am sure you will all agree that the next film should hold a permanent place in the top ten, alone for having ‘super’ in the title and if you haven’t all ready guessed it with your powers, yes it is probably the most infamous of all superheroes, ‘Superman’.
The film has Academy Award winners Gene Hackman and Marlon Brando, then two of the biggest stars of the 1970s staring in the film. However Christopher Reeves who played the man of steel stole the show and made a forever lasting memory on us and likewise became an international superstar over night. Not only was he superman in the film but whenever the superman character was mentioned you pictured Christopher Reeves in your head. His portrayal of Clark Kent and Superman was outstanding and was the perfect choice to play the comic character I had come to love as a boy. He outshone his award winning co-stars and won a place in everyone’s heart especially from that generation.
There are some memorable scenes in the movie from the destruction of Kal-El’s homeworld, Krypton, Superman’s debut by saving Lois Lane as she falls from a helicopter and turning back time, which Jor-El’s advised him not to interfere with human history, to save Lois’ life from another awful Lex Luthor plan. After saving Lois he captures Luthor and Otis and takes them to prison and then flies off into the sky for his next adventure.
